The new building is estimated at 29,000 gross square feet and will provide office and laboratory space for up to 40 scientists and support personnel, along with improved connections to the NMSU's computing and networking infrastructure. The proposed site location is serviced by all utilities; however, upgrades could be required. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.10, Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program, this requirement will be conducted as a full and open competition using sealed bidding procedures. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542. The total Estimated Cost of Construction (ECC) for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Time for completion of the work will be 540 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.
