Estimated price range of the work is between $1,000,000. and $5,000,000 -- Copies of solicitation are provided only in CD-ROM format and one copy will be provided free of charge with each request. There is a non-refundable charge of $15.00 for each additional CD-ROM requested. The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: General Requirements:(1) Administrative requirements, procedural requirements, temporary facilities, and controls which apply to execution of work. Concrete:(1) Sawcut and remove existing reinforced concrete cover slab for placement of new reinforced concrete foundations.(2) Sawcut and remove portions of the existing reinforced concrete oil spill containment wall and curb. (3) Construct new reinforced concrete slab foundations for transformer KP10A and radiator.(4) Construct new reinforced concrete oil spill containment wall and curb.(5) Construct reinforced concrete foundations for roof mounted bus frame.(Construction of these foundations will require the removal of existing roofing materials beneath the foundations, and subsequent roofing repairs.) Structural Steel: (1) Remove existing 7'-6" chain link fencing and gate.(2) Furnishing and erecting 7'-0"chain link fencing and gate.(3) Furnishing and erecting 5'-0"chain link fencing and gate.(4) Furnishing and erecting structural steel for the roof mounted bus frame.(5) Furnishing and erecting steel oil spill containment wall.(6) Furnishing and erecting contractor designed isolated-phase bus support structure. Thermal and Moisture Protection:(1) Seal penetrations with fire and smoke sealing materials. Special Construction: (1) Design, furnish and install new transformer deluge fire suppression system.(2)Remove and dispose of existing transformer deluge fire suppression system piping and materials. Mechanical:(1) Label and identify new piping systems.(2)Furnish and install new sanitary vent piping.(3) Remove and dispose of existing sanitary vent piping.(4) Furnish and install deck drainage piping system.(5) Furnishing and erecting steel oil spill containment wall. (6) Furnishing and erecting contractor designed isolated-phase bus support structure. Electrical: (1) Remove and dispose of existing 230 KV power transformer KP10A, including oil piping and coolers.(2) Remove and dispose of existing 230 KV isolated phase bus connected to KP10A(3) Modifying section of remaining isolated phase bus to accommodate a new bussection.(4) Remove and dispose of existing 230 KV SF6 gas insulated switchgear connected to KP10A.(5) Modify section of remaining 230 KV SF6 gas insulated switchgear to provide normal operation.(6) Furnish and install 230 KV outdoor bus on roof of pumping plant and connect to existing transmission line and new transformer.(7) Connect the new transformer to new switchyard and isolated phase bus.(8) Construct new oil containment feature.(9) Extend and modify existing transformer deluge system. This will be a negotiated competitive solicitation. Award will be best value based on review of technical criteria including but not limited to contractors electrical buswork experience, past performance, and schedule.
