NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Offers for Modification of Radar Facilities U-25, U-30 at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include but is not limited to: The removal and proper disposal of asbestos wall and ceiling panels, asbestos floor tile, concrete slabs, partition framing, personnel doors, plumbing fixtures, mechanical fixtures, and electrical fixtures. New work shall include the construction of new partition walls, entrance vestibule, installation of new personnel doors, toilet fixtures, flooring, suspended ceiling, painting, HVAC units, modification of fire alarm and suppression system, replace mechanical controls; replace electrical receptacles and switches, lighting, circuits, and fire alarm devices. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable or may be required, all contractor's plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services; and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformity with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specifications. This procurement is being conducted under NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 210 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1542 and $17,000,000.00, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about March 23, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about April 25, 2000. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $75.00.
