The government intends to award a sole source contract modification under contract N00019-99-C-1275 to Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems (LMNE&SS), Eagan, Minnesota for integration, wiring and installation of the Electronic Flight Display System (EFDS). EFDS will be integrated into the P3C ASuW Improvement Program (AIP) concurrently with the AIP modification. It is anticipated that 28 aircraft will be modified to the EFDS configuration. LMNE&SS has been the prime integrator of AIP for the last six years and is the only source with the requisite knowledge and experience to integrate EFDS into AIP with no degradation of existing AIP capability or disruption to the AIP schedule.
