The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract for Furnishing and Installing a new standard model 6-ton (at 20 foot radius) and a 15-ton (at 12 foot radius) diesel-hydraulic pedestal-mounted auxiliary crane and bulkhead hoist travel drive on the existing rail-mounted bulkhead hoist on the dams. The new cranes shall be equipped with a 70 foot telescoping boom. The new cranes will replace the existing pedestal-mounted cranes on the bulkhead hoists at Morgantown Lock and Dam, located at Mile 102.0, Monongahela River, at Morgantown, Monongalia County, WV and at Hildebrand Lock and Dam, located at Mile 108.0, Monongahela River, near Morgantown, Monongalia County, WV. The work shall also include removing and disposing of the existing pedestal-mounted auxiliary cranes. Removal of the existing cranes and installation of the new cranes must be done from floating plant. The period of performance will be 365 calendar days.
