The International Bureau of Broadcasting (IBB) has an immediate requirement for an on-air digital audio broadcast studio for its Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB) headquarters building located in Miami, Florida. Turnkey Broadcast Systems Integration (BSI) services are required to select, procure and install digital audio broadcast (DAB) equipment and furnishings. This OCB Studio will consists of a control room, talent studio and news-reader booth. DAB equipment is to be provided by the BSI contractor and shall meet or exceed salient technical characteristics and specifications cited in the contract solicitation. As contract options, also included will be the requirement for turnkey BSI services for two (2) adjacent OCB broadcast studios at the same facility. The Contractor shall be required to perform much of the required work during times when the adjacent studios are not in use -- which typically will be during early evening hours. An on-site pre-proposal meeting is "mandatory" for all prospectiveofferors in order to become thoroughly acquainted with the conditions under which the required work must be performed. The RFP is scheduled to be issued in mid-March 2000, with proposals due 30-calendar days thereafter. The contract performance period is estimated to be 60 days after contract award.
