A -- ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE MODIFICATION SOL USZA25-00-R-0007 DUE 032000 POC Mr. Earl Sharp 410-278-3415 The RD&A office has a requirement to modify and adapt All Terrain Vehicles (ATV). The government is seeking to provide performance and functionally enhancing modifications to late model commercially available stock ATVs. Modifications include but are not limited to overall dimension adjustments, increased payload capability, increased towing capability and increased speed. Functionality enhancements include but are not limited to independent seating for diver and passanger, increased capacity fuel tank and/or auxiliary tank, high performace winch, under carriage protection, and weather resistant electrical system. Two portotypes will result from this effort; a Scout ATV and a Support ATV. Each ATV variant has specific performance and functionality requirments. This effort will be competed on a full and open basis using the Best Value selection process. One firm will be selected to Team with the Government on this effort. A cost plus fixed fee contract type will used for this development effort. A follow-on production effort is planned for approximately thirty velicles.
