A -- VIRTUAL PROVING GROUND (VPG) DEVELOPMENT AND INTERFACE SUPPORT POC Dianne Trimble, Contract Specialist, SMDC-CM-CN, 256-955-4057, Linda N. Bentley, Contracting Officer The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract for Virtual Proving Ground (VPG) Development and Interface Support. The purpose of this effort is to exploit prior accomplishments and use these accomplishments to plan, coordinate, execute, and document the replication and extension of the VPG approaches developed by the proposed contractor for the Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC) in the design, development, test, and validation of an integrated VPG capability for the Developmental Test Command (DTC) and its individual test centers. The contractor shall develop and ensure interface and connectivity, interoperability, and verification and validation of the VPG core capabilities, including integrated architecture, distributed databases, and synthetic environments. The contractor shall identify VPG needs and provide operational interfaces, integration, verification projects, and distributed system tests through a core period and surge options. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), this action is to be performed by Amtec Corporation because award to any other source would likely result in substantial duplication of cost to the government not expected to be recovered through competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses received from interested sources will be considered by the government. This acquisition is not open to allied participation. All responses should be directed to SMDC-CM-CN/Dianne Trimble and must be received within fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice.
