This is a Sources Sought synopsis to locate potential sources of already available optical (scanned) images or vector copies of Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), Flood Boundary and Floodway Maps (FBFM's) and Flood Insurance Studies (FIS's). ZAI-Amelex Inc., teamed with Michael Baker Jr., Inc., (ZAI/Baker) is supporting the modernization of the Map Service Center. Sources interested and capable of providing all or part of the above images are invited to submit complete information to the procuring office identified in this notice in two (2) copies within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice. Information furnished should include: (1) A database of the listing of images available, preferably with complete panel number and suffix. (2) Technical specifications of the images such as optical resolution and color scale. (3) Sample images on a CD-ROM. (4) Technical description of the process used to create the images including source documents (paper or film), any georeferencing parameters.If images are georeferenced specify if the ungeoreferenced images are also available, (5) Quality Control procedures/results performed, (6) Plans for the source to maintain updated images as the NFIP documents are revised, (7) Economic terms price and conditions, (8) Unique economic terms will be considered, (9) Statement describing the full extent of the source's geographic coverage. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and the ZAI/Baker Team or the Government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted. All information submitted will not be returned and will become the property of the procuring office. Based upon the number of the responses received the ZAI/Baker team may determine that the sources images do not meet enough of the overall objectives including price and quality.
