This is a synopsis of a requirement for commercial services prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemental with
additional information included in the notice. A written solicitation
will be issued upon request. This is a request for quotation (RFQ)
number DTCG80-00-Q-3FAC81. This solicitation document will incorporate
provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-14. The standard industrial classification code is 3731
and the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the
following: Contractor to provide all labor,materials, equipment, parts,
services, and competence to complete the following dockside repairs on
the USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716): 1. Renew Hull Plating. Special note:
Specification (3.2.2) Contractor shall submit all weld procedures with
their bid proposal. A detailed repair plan shall be delivered to the
COR at least 24 hours prior to the start of work. When installing the
new plating, a three inch minimum separation must be maintained between
all welded connections (i.e.- stiffeners and weld seems), or a
permanent backing plate shall be installed on any stiffener if the
damaged section is cropped on a main structural support. Place of
