Duties are to be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester, Kentucky. Duties include: evaluating referrals from clinical staff, review patient records pertinent to complaint, discuss treatment options with the clinical director and/or health services administrator, make referrals for diagnostic procedure as appropriate, diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing appropriate medications. Individual requirements include: graduate of an accredited school of medicine, approved orthopedic residency program completion, current Kentucky state licensure, board certification in orthopedic surgery, minimum of one year clinical experience. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of the institution will be required to submit to security clearances. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government with price and other factors considered. The base year will run for twelve months from the date of award with four (4) option periods for renewal. Anticipated date of award is May 31, 2000. It is anticipated this solicitation will be mailed approximately March 20, 2000 with an anticipated due date of April 19, 2000. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price Requirements type contract. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered for award.
