The work includes construction of a turn lane on U.S. Route 1 and the construction of two new parking areas at Ninigret NWR and the rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Sachuest Point Road. Approximate quantities for the principal items of work are as follows: Construction Survey and Staking, LPSM; Contractor Testing, LPSM; Remove and dispose flexible pavement, 8,700 m2; Bituminous Binder, 300 ton; Bituminous surface course, 3,000 ton; Bituminous surface course (wedge and level), 1,000 ton; Wooden fence, 1,300 ft; Construction signs, 400 sqft; Loam barrow, 870 cuyd.
