The overall scope of the work includes the contractor providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and temporary facilities to complete the project located at Stewart Air National Guard Base, Newburgh, NY. The project generally includes full-depth removal and replacement of twent-six (26), three (3") inch thick Portland cement concrete (PCC) floor slabs including associated joints. Additionally this project includes resealing of expansion joints in the floor slabs, floor/wall, floor/tank foundation and wall of the secondary containment with jet fuel resistant sealer. The facility is an operating fuel system composed of two 25,000 barrel fjet fuel storage tanks each located within a PCC secondary containment. The facility will remain in operation for the duration of the project. The contractor will perform all work witnin the confines of the containment area. The construction schedule and all phases of the project will be closely coordinated with the Base Civil engineer. Construction time is 59 calendar days. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The project will be bid as a lump sum, firm fixed price type contract. The issue date of the solicitation will be on or about 4 April 2000, with a bid opening date of on or about 4 May 2000. A pre-bid meeting (site visit) will be conducted prior to the bid opening with the date and time being specified in the solicitation. The standard industrial code applicable to this solicitation is 1771. The solicitation is unrestricted.
