This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation (ACB-0-Q-0042) is issued as an RFQ and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-15. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. See numbered Note 1. This requirement is for specialized gunsmithing hand tools such as; files, punches, reamers, wrenches, gauges, sight kits, etc., utilized by service armorers to build and maintain national match grade firearms. A total of 292 individual part numbers are required. All items will be required within 30 calendar days after receipt of order, FOD destination, to USINS National Firearms Unit, Altoona, PA. See numbered Note 22. The Government has determined that due to the volume and specialization of the items required that Brownells, Inc. of Montezuma, IA, is the only source capable of providing all of the 292 individual part numbers required, within 30 calendar days after receipt of order. It would be uneconomical for the Goverment to process multiple orders for the volume required.
