Q -- HOSPITAL SERVICES SOL RFQ 405-0042 DUE 063000 POC Kimberly Montgomery, (606) 253-8887 The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Cumberland, Maryland has a requirement for Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital Services, to include physicians, bed space, emergency room, and ancillary services. The facility must be certified at time of award of meeting JCAHO requirements and maintain an ongoing quality assurance and utilization program. The facility must meet all local, state, and Federal laws to operate as a hospital. All diagnosis shall be coded in I.D.-9 format. Medicare rates, DRG quidelines, and Maryland Resource Based Relative Value Scale(RBRVS) are highly desireable. All hospital provided physicians shall be graduates of accrediated medical school(s) and/or other medical staff shall be licensed, and/or board certified by their respective state, and be in compliance with all other laws and regulations in effect. The facility shall be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for 52 weeks a year. The facility shall be within 100 driving miles of FCI Cumberland. This will be a competitive procurement, price and other factors considered, with award being made to the offeror(s) determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The government reserves the right to make multiple awards. In this tradeoff process, non-price factors (when combined) are significally more important than price. Technical criteria and past performance criteria are of equal value. Small Disadvataged Business (SDB) participation criteria is less significant than technical, past performance, and price (when considered on an individual basis). Offerors are advised that should the offerors' proposals be considered approximately the same or equal under the non-price factors, price could become paramount in the selection decisison. 0There will be a Base year with four(4), one(1) year option periods. There will be guaranteed minimums and maximums for Inpatient and Outpatient services stated in the solicitation. Solicitation packages will be mailed out approximately April 15, 2000 with an approximate due date of June 30, 2000. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
