S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIAGE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH LABORATORIO NACIONAL DE RESIDUOS. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Laboratorio Nacional de Residuos (MAGFOR) the NOAA Office of Response & Resoration/HAZMAT in Seattle, WA. Place of performance for this contract is Managua, Nicaragua. Purpose of contract is to conduct high quality chemical analysis of environmental samples (water, sediment/soil, and tissue) containing low levels of organic and inorganic contaminants. Chemical analysis lab must be located in Nicaragua and also be a public or non-profit organization to build ongoing capabilities for environmental monitoring to support the ability of local governments to make decisions that minimize exposure to future disasters and promote sustainable use of natural resources. The Ministry of Agriculture lab in Managua is the only laboratory in Managua that has the experience required to complete work under this contract.
