Code 1542 _ This announcement is notification of firms determined to be
viable under a multi-step advisory process for Construction Manager as
Constructor (CMc) services for the renovation of building 25 at the
Denver Federal Center in Lakewood, CO. This requirement was previously
synopsized in the CBD. All interested offerors were invited to submit
qualification information that would allow GSA to advise each
respondent whether they were a viable competitor. As noted in the
original synopsis, firms that did not submit written responses to the
notice are not eligible to compete in subsequent stages of the
procurement. Firms determined to be viable are: J. E. Dunn Construction
Company/Blackinton and Decker, Inc., a joint venture, point of contact,
Vincent McDonald, President, Blackington and Decker, Inc., Denver,
Colorado; Gerald H. Phipps, Inc., Denver, Colorado, point of contact,
Bruce A. Ferguson, President; Swinerton & Walberg Co., Arvada,
Colorado, point of contact, Michael J. Mismash, Manager, Business
Development. All nonviable firms have been notified in writing why they
are not viable. Notwithstanding the advice provided to nonviable firms,
they may elect to continue participation in this acquisition. A
nonviable firm wishing to continue must notify the Contracting Officer
in writing by March 10, 2000. A Request for Proposals (RFP)will be
issued to all viable firms and those nonviable firms who wish to
continue. Deadline for receipt of proposals will be specified in the
