This item must be manufacturered in accordance with US Army Tank Automotive Command Drawing 19207 12450214. A first article test is to be performed on this drawing with no waived sources. Delivery requirements are as follows: 3124 units to be shipped to New Cumberland, PA with a 100% option quantity all to be to delivered in 150 days (including FAT). This solicitation is being issued for vehicle covers based on Government Techinical Data Package. Customarily all offers submitted should be based on the referenced drawing. However, any offeror is encouraged to submit a commerical item offer in response to this solicition. The technical acceptability of such offers will be determined by the Engineering Support Activity (ESA)for these covers. Accordingly, the offeror will need to forward a complete data package to Mr. Jim Doherty, DLA Engineering Support Team Leader, United States Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, MI 48397-5000, for approval. In order to insure that customer needs are completely satisfied, the offeror will need to submit evidence of ESA approval with the offer prior to the closing date of this soliciation. Award will not be delayed awaiting approval. It is the offerors responsibility to obtain approval and provide documentation of the approval prior to the closing date of this solicitation. Any offer failing to provide documentation of approval from TACOM with your commercial item offer with be rejected. This solicitation is a 100% small business set aside.
