59 -- FRAMELESS TACHOMETERS SOL RFQBF6173 DUE 032200 POC Rena Cerbone, Contracting Officer, tel: (617)495-7445, fax: (617)495-7485, email: rcerbone@cfa.harvard.edu The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) requires a quantity of ten (10) each Kollmorgen P/N: TG-5714-C Frameless Tachometer, 12V/RAD/Sec Sensitivity, with metal brushes and six (6) each P/N: TG-5732-B, Frameless Tachometer, 12V/RAD/SEC Sensitivity, with high altitude brushes. These tachometers have been specifically designed into SAO's Submillimeter Array (SMA) Antenna Servo System and are currently used in two completed antenna that are positioned on the summit of Mauna Kea, HI. Additional antennas being built by SAO's SMA Project Partner use these Kollmorgen tachometers in their Antenna Servo Systems. This solicitation is being conducted under the guidelines of the Simplified Acquisition Regulations (SAP), FAR part 13.
