This is a Request For Information for COTS software and is issued to request technical and marketing information on the availability of security software that meets the following minimum characteristics: 1. Can be used by mainframe users to reset IBM Remote Access Control Facility (RACF) passwords, 2. Generally requires no manual intervention by security staff, 3. Ensures proper authentication prior to resets, 4. Provides trouble-ticketing, reporting, and auditing features. Only firms that currently have software product(s) possessing the above characteristics are invited to respond to this RFI. Responses should include: 1. Product literature that addresses the above characteristics and any other important technical aspects of the product; 2. Commercial price list or GSA schedule for license and maintenance fees for all platforms supported; 3. Standard software license agreement; and 4. Points of contact (including name, phone number, and fax number) that are knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the product(s) and the license agreement. This RFI is not a Request for Proposal, and nothing shall be construed herein or through the RFI process to commit or obligate the Government to further action as a result of this RFI. Firms responding to this RFI shall bear all risk and expense of any resources used to provide the requested information, and all information submitted in response to this request shall become the property of the Government.
