Project work includes: Clear and grub, construct dikes and weirs and establish vegetation for two dredged material management areas in Northern St. John County, Florida. Site DU09 will require clearing and grubbing approximately 110 acres, constructing a dike approximately 460,000 cubic yards in size, and mitigating approximately 6.3 acres of wetlands. Site SJ-14 will require clearing approximately 146 acres, constructing a dike approximately 614,000 cubic yards in size, and mitigating 19.7 acres of wetlands. Equipment needed would include, but not limited to, the following: trucks, small construction crane, front end loader, backhoe and tamping machines. Up to two contracts may be awarded from this solicitation. Construction time is 180 calendar days per site after notice to proceed, inclusive of mobilization and demobilization. If single award is made, the construction time is 180 calendar days after notice to proceed, inclusive of mobilization and demobilization. Bidders may bid on one or both sites.
