Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. Description of Work This project, located in the Bovoni/Long Point Peninsula area of St. Thomas, USVI, is the construction of an ocean outfall, discharging effluent into Stalley Bay. The ocean outfall system consists of approximately 5,400 feet of 15-inch-diameter high-density polyethylene pipe buried under the floor of the bay. Maximum depth is 70 feet. Work shall be completed within 210 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Information regarding bidding documents Bidding Documents include the Public Notice, this Invitation for Bids, Instructions to Bidders, Contractor's Qualification Statement, the Contract, Performance & Payment Bonds, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Plans, Specifications, a Videotape, and other documents bound herein. Bidding documents can be obtained from Department of Property and Procurement, Procurement Division, Third Floor, Subbase, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, at a cost of $ 50.00 PER SET. The documents consist of: One Contract Document Book entitled Construction Solicitation and Specifications Mangrove Lagoon Regional Wastewater System Outfall One videotape of the outfall route One compact disc containing the drawings and an Acrobat Readera in electronic form, and One half-size set of drawings (18" x 12") Bidder is responsible for printing out hard copies from the compact disc. All documents contained in the Contract Document Book are made a part of this Invitation and by this reference incorporated herein as fully and effectively as if set forth in detail. The bidder's attention is directed to the fact that all applicable municipal ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authority having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to Contract throughout, and they will be deemed to be included in the Contract the same as though herein written out in full. The bid guarantee shall be in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The five percent (5%) Bid Bond will only be accepted in the form of a firm commitment, such as a Bid Bond, Postal Money Order, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Irrevocable Letter of Credit. Corporations executing the bond must be duly licensed to do business in the Territory of the Virgin Islands.
