Furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to apply a one inch (1") overlay of hot bituminous pavement (asphalt) and hot spray paint pavement markings (broken yellow center line, solid yellow center line, and solid white edge line) on two sections of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. Section one starts approximately 10 miles north of Hohenwald, Tennessee, and runs from milepost 390.9 north to milepost 404.7, crossing through Lewis and Hickman counties and covering 13.8 miles. This section receives leveling, overlay and pavement marking. Section two starts at milepost 404.7 and runs north to milepost 407.9, crossing through Hickman county and covering 3.2 miles. This section receives pavement markings only. Estimated quantities in this job are: hot bituminous pavement=11,200 tons; 4" wide broken yellow centerline stripe=9 miles; 4" wide solid yellow centerline stripe=23 miles; 4" wide solid white edge stripe=34 miles; and an additive item of hot bituminous pavement for parking lots, turn-outs, etc=600 tons. Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for operations to commence in early summer (2000); work shall be concluded within 90 days of the start date.
