Site Adapt Area: KCFSO Area. Modular Unit Site Adapt. This will be an
Indefinite Quantity Construction Contract (IQC-C) for modular unit site
adapt for Postal facilities in the following states: Illinois, Iowa,
Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South
Dakota, and Wisconsin. Brief description of work: Construction
contractor is responsible for the 'turn key' operation: site adapt,
modular unit pick-up from manufacturer, and completion of installation
and site work. The contractor will be required to work in the
geographical area(s) checked on the offer form: Midwest Area (all
states -- preferred selection); Region 1 -- Dakotas District (North and
South Dakota and Western Minnesota); Region 2 -- Central Plains,
Gateway and Mid-America Districts (Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska,
Southeast Iowa, and Western Illinois); Region 3 -- Hawkeye, Milwaukee,
Northland Districts (Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin). The
contract will be for a one year period with one one-year renewal
option. The total value of work orders may not exceed $5,000,000.00
over the life of the contract with a minimum $10,000.00 of work ordered
over the life of the contract. No single work order may exceed $250,000
and a specific work order will be issued to specify the kind and
quantity of work to be performed for each project. Multiple awards may
be made from this solicitation. Evaluation Factors: Award will be made
to the most responsive offeror. Responsiveness will be determined by
IQC-C capability, qualifications of personnel, financial capability,
work history, and references, and through past performance the
contractor must demonstrate the ability and capacity to perform this
contract over the life of the contract. Estimated that $300,000.00 will
be charged against this contract. This does not obligate the U S Postal
Service, it is only an estimate designed to help contractors in making
an offer. Bonding will be changed in increments of $100K with amounts
to be determined by the contracting officer at time of award and as
additional bonding is required. Bonds and Insurance: Performance and
Payment Bonds, certificate of public and automobile liability
insurance, Worker's Compensation, and Employers Liability Insurance are
required before award to the successor offeror(s). MBE/WOB: The
successful offeror will be required to submit a subcontractor minority
