NAVICP-Mechanicsburg plans to establish a firm fixed price(FFP) Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract with United Defense-Limited Partnership (UDLP), Louisville, KY covering repair and replacement spares for the MK-45 Mods 2 and 4, MK-75, MK-36 decoy launching system, MK-32 torpedo tube, MK-96 minor caliber gun and MK-13 and 26 Guided Missile Launching Systems. Over 700 various repairable and consumable stock numbers (NSNs) cover the Navy=s requirements. UDLP shall function as the Government=s Commercial Stock Point for these spares in support of domestic requirements including the performance of all routine inventory management functions including receiving, shipping, tracking, warehousing, reporting and scheduling. The goal is to improve the availability and reliability for the above cited weapon systems while simultaneously reducing overall support costs. The Navy's individual requirements as outlined above shall be separately clinned and priced. Full PBL support shall cover a five year base period. An additional two one-year options may be exercised.
