This synopsis is amended for the purpose of notifying potential offerors of the government's intent to award this order with the possibility of two option periods. The original synopsis was posted in CBDNet on 25 February 2000 and in the printed issue on 1 March 2000. The original synopsis stated the government's "anticipation of a requirements type contract award under FAR Subpart 13.5 for the period of April 2000 through September 2002." This is amended to read "the government anticipates a requirements type contract award under FAR Subpart 13.5 for the period of April 2000 through March 2001 with two potential option periods; one from April 2001 through March 2002 and the other from April through September 2002." The original synopsis stated that the "government's best estimate for total amounts required over this period of time is between 270 to 450 cases of the blue and 90 to 150 cases of the red." This is amended to read "the government's best estimate for quantities required over these periods is as follows: for both Apr 00 through Mar 01 and Apr 01 through Mar 02 -- 175 cases of blue and 60 cases of red; for Apr through Sep 02 -- 100 cases of blue and 30 cases of red."
