ANNOUNCEMENT IS REVISED TO REFLECT THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: THE MCS
INDUSTRY DAY IS CHANGED FROM 29/30 MAR 00 TO 14/15 MAR 00. DATES
APPEARING IN THE FOLLOWING ANNOUNCEMENT REFLECT DATE CORRECTIONS. The
U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Watercraft
Systems Management Office (WSMO) is planning the acquisition of the
Modular Causeway System with contract award planned in calendar year
2000. TACOM is requesting industry feedback, and is hosting an Industry
Day on 14/15 MARCH 00 at Curtis Bay Coast Guard Yard, Baltimore,
Maryland for those interested in the acquisition of the Modular
Causeway System (MCS). This Industry Day will provide interested firms
an opportunity to receive an overview of the acquisition and schedule,
view the existing MCS and ask general questions of the Government. This
invitation to participate in the Industry Day does not constitute an
invitation for bid or a request for proposal. Currently the
solicitation is scheduled for release in April 2000 with contract award
targeted for Sept. 00. Please confirm your attendance to Douglas

574-7592 not later than 10 MAR 00. Electronic notification is
preferred. An executive summary and other draft portions of the
solicitation of the MCS acquisition, as well as the agenda and Request
for Information (RFI) questionnaire for the industry day are posted on
the MCS web page at
http://www.tacom.army.mil/acqcen/majorsys/mcs/mcs.htm. After Industry
Day, forward any questions or comments, as well as responses to the
RFI, via e-mail, to buccellk@tacom.army.mil NLT 22 MAR 00.
Participation in the Industry Day conference is voluntary. The
information presented herein or provided in response to Industry Day
will not obligate the Government in any manner. The Government will not
reimburse the attendees for any cost associated with participation or
for responding to the Industry Day, and is under no obligation to award
