The Indian Health Service (IHS) is soliciting proposals from interested hospitals and health care facilities located in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah to provide all necessary End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Services, which include but are not limited to Outpatient Hemodialysis and/or Periotoneal Dialysis -- Continuous Ambulatory Periotoneal Dialysis (CAPD) and Continuous Cycling Periotoneal Dialysis (CCPD), and Home Dialysis training to IHS/Contract Health Service eligible patients referred by the IHS Area Offices of Phoenix, Window Rock, and Tucson, Arizona, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Contract awards will be made to those facilities who agree to accept as payment in full, reimbursement at rates no higher than the prevailing Medicare allowable rates (including deductibles and co-payment). This is in accordance with the IHS Payment Policy entitled "Reimbursement Rates for Health Care Services Authorized Under the Indian Health Service Contract Regulations", published in the Federal Registeron June 30, 1986. Multiple awards will be made for a twelve month period with 4 one-year options. RFP 834 will be made available on March 15, 2000 and may be obtained by "written request" to the above address.
