All references to the word "proposal" are changed to "quotation." 2. The SIC is amended to be 7338. This SIC code better fits the NSF requirement for editing and composition services. 3. The size standard is corrected to be five million dollars ($5M). 4. All references to Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) are changed to Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). 5. Interested parties who already submitted their e-mail addresses need not do so again. 6. The closing date is changed to April 3, 2000. The amended notice, in its entirety, is published below. The National Science Foundation has a need for publication requirements -- SIC code 7338 (size standard five million dollars ($5M) for its Division of Science Resources Studies (SRS). This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside (see Note 1). The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards for these services. Each award will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Each award will be a Blanket Purchase Agreement with orders to be issued on a firm fixed price basis. The period of performance for each award will be a two-year base period which may be renewable on an annual basis for up to a total of five (5) years. The scope of work includes two primary areas: Statistical editing (substantive, copy editing, proofreading); Desktop publishing (composition, graphic and table creation, formatting of statistical tables according to pre-established format specifications, providing finished documents in PageMaker 6.5 for Windows). Contractors may submit quotations in one or both primary areas. The contractor must possess, and be able to demonstrate, all skills within each primary area. Examples of publications produced by SRS can be seen on the Internet at http://www.nsf.gov/sbe/srs/stats.htm. Copies of the solicitation will be available on the NSF external web page at Internet address http://www.nsf.gov/bfa/cpo/contract/sol.htm no later than March 9, 2000. All solicitation amendments and questions and answers will be published within ten days of release, to the same Internet address.
