S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Foundation (MBSF) for the NOAA Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS). Purpose of contract is to provide the initial design and environmental planning to construct a Visitor's Center in Aptos, California. The MBNMS is funding 50% of the cost of the design and planning and the State of California, State Parks Department is funding the remaining 50% of the cost. This is a joint project between the MBNMS, the California State Parks Department, and the MBSF. Due to unique nature of this agreement, no sources other than MBSF can coordinate planning and design from both public agencies.
