The work consists of the removal of approximately 849,000 cubic yards of dredged material comprised of maintenance material from 43,132 feet of project channel with variable widths of 100 to 400 feet to varied required depths of 14 feet to 18 feet (below mean low tide) and varying allowable overdepths of 1-2 feet. Material will be deposited in open water placement areas for the Channel to Port Mansfield and contained placement areas for the Channel to Harlingen.
