E-MAIL: Vivienne D. Gallo, vgallo@mail.arc.nasa.gov. NASA/ARC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers for "Transformer T47 & T44 Tie-Line". The work to be performed under this contract consists of providing the labor, equipment, and materials to complete the installation for the subject project as follows: (a) Provide 8KV feeder cables between Transformers T47 and T44. (b) Provide 8KV vacuum circuit breaker by extending the existing switchgear in Electrical Substation N225 South. (c) Install one (1) new Government furnished microprocessor based protective relay in the above new vacuum circuit breaker. (d) Install two (2) new Government furnished 7.2KV disconnect switches on the existing overhead steel structure. (e) Provide new structural steel members on the existing structure in the Electrical Substation N227D. (f) Install and test equipment and wiring for the underground and overhead conduits. Other miscellaneous work. The Prime Contractor must perform, as a minimum, 55% of the project work. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000 and the effort shall be completed within 200 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1731 and $7 Million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about March 21, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about April 25, 2000. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. All requests for copies of solicitation RFO2-36848-VDG should be in writing and directed to Mr. Chris Wolfe.
