This contract involves replacing an existing single phase secondary service with a new three phase service at the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site in Hyde Park, New York. The work will involve installing underground conduit and conductors along a predetermined route, from a new existing transformer vault, jacking a conduit pipe under the approach road,(Cutting road is NOT an option.), and carrying the service into the basement of the Vanderbilt Mansion. This will be followed by the installation of a new distribution panel, service panels and all associated conduit, conductors, switches and related parts, as well as extending the existing circuits to the work, as per the attached plans and specifications. The work includes, but is not limited to: trenching, temporary controls and service, pipe jacking, electrical work and landscape restoration. The work will be coordinated with Central Hudson Gas and Electric,(They will install the new transformers.) and Bell Atlantic, (They will be installing a new telephone cable in the excavation.). This solicitation is issued pursuant to P.L. 100-656, Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to all size firms.
