A Pre-solicitation Conference will be held at the Defense Supply Center Richmond on 30 March 2000, from 9am to Noon. The conference will be held at the DSCR Community Center, also known as the "Barn". The objective is to discuss the Government's requirements to provide Compressed Gas Prime Vendor Support to military entities on the West Coast of the US as well as Hawaii. A basic solicitation is being mailed to potential bidders prior to the conference for review. The final edition of the solicitation will include questions and answers from the conference. The program to be discussed requires the successful contractor to provide various compressed gases to military entities using Government-owned cylinders. Required delivery time is 3 days after receipt of order. Deliveries will only be in truckload quantities and the contractor will pickup empty cylinders at the time of delivery. Successful Contractor is also responsible for cylinder maintenance. The solicitation contains a statement of work and proposal preparation and evaluation criteria. Gases involved: Acetylene, Human Respiration Air, Argon, Carbon Dioxide, Helium, Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Technical Oxygen.
