USDA Forest Service is seeking an independent contractor to help meet the monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements for securing multiparty input on 28 stewardship contracting pilot projects. In accordance with subsection (g) of Section 347 of the FY 1999 Omnibus Appropriations Act, the contractor shall: 1) design, implement and manage a monitoring and evaluation process that, on a project-by-project basis, allows for involvement of all interested groups and individuals, compile information about the status of the development, execution, and administration of authorized contracts; the specific accomplishments that have resulted; and the role of local communities in development of contract plans, and 2) prepare annual reports that analyze and summarize all information compiled through the multiparty, monitoring and evaluation process. The contract period will extend over five years. An RFP will be used to award this contract. All responsible sourcesmay submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Forest Service.
