This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number FA4416-00-T0251 is as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. This is a 100 % small business set-aside. The SIC code is 1521. The size standard is $17 million. The contractor shall furnish and install pre-framed front entrance doors, and storm doors w/assemblies on Family Housing Units at Andrews AFB, Maryland. (Item 0001) Provide and install (Qty) 54 each pre-framed 36" X 80" entrance door with new single light decorator pane (dimensions around 3 1/4" x 7"), fire rated solid core, with door knob & 2 keys (color -- white or alabaster). (Item 0002) Furnish and install (Qty) 53 each new full view (color -- white or alabaster) Larson storm door or equivalent, with hardware. All work shall be performed in accordance with the following statement of work: (1) The contractor shall remove and dispose of existing entrance door and frame, and storm door assemblies.(2) Install new doors/assemblies to existing measurements (3) Clean up work site daily & properly dispose of old debris off base. Performance will be at Andrews Air Force Base Maryland on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding Federal Holidays. Service shall be completed within 45 days after award. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, " Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items and addenda's FAR 52.237.1 Site Visit and FAR 52.228-5 Insurance -- Work on a Government Installation, is applicable to this acquisition.
