The contractor shall be knowledgeable in the areas of rubber formulation, mixing, processing and vulcanization of rubber products. The contractor shall be cognizant of the specification and performance requirements on elastomers used for military track vehicles to include bushings, roadwheel, track pads and roadwheel path rubber. As such, the contractor must be able to discuss, develop and recommend formulations to improve the service life for all the elastomeric components of military track systems to include the T-158, T-158LL for the M1A1/A2 and T-157 for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Period of Performance shall be 01 April 2000 thru 31 March 2001. It is the intent of the Government to award a contract on a sole source basis to Interactive Resources, Newark, DE pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for technical service representative forwhich the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
