A -- MANUFACTURING IMPROVEMENTS FOR ADVANCED OPTICAL MATERIALS FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE ULTRAVIOLET SENSORS!! The R& D Contracting Office, AFRL/MLKT is contemplating the award of a cost share contract, F33615-00-C-5100 to Crystal Associates, Inc. for the Manufacturing Improvements for Advanced Optical Materials for High Performance Ultraviolet Sensors. The objective of this program is to improve the processes used in manufacturing the three materials used as the optical elements in the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) sensors. The focus of this effort will be on defect reduction and yield improvement, which will lead to higher rates of production and reduced costs.
