Air ambulance service on an "as required" basis within the western region of the continental United States (CONUS) and near off-shore locations. Contractor shall furnish jet aircraft with medical staff. Both aircraft and medical staff must comply with technical specifications and standards prescribed by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) and be accredited by CAMTS. Service in this region requires an estimated 15,014 Great Circle Statute Miles (GCSM) and 143 patient care hours per year. Period of performance is one (1) year with an option to extend service not more than six (6) months under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.217-8. To be awarded a contract under this solicitation, prospective offerors must satisfy all DoD Commercial Air Carrier Quality and Safety Requirements as described in 32 CFR, Part 861.3, and the DoD Additional Standards for Contract Passenger Operations under FAR Part 135.
