ron.venable@customs.treas.gov. The U.S. Customs Service intends to
negotiate on a sole-source basis with Lockheed Martin Ocean Radar and
Sensor Systems, Electronics Park, Syracuse, NY for four complete
AN/APS-145 radar system upgrade kits, plus associated spare parts.
These radar system upgrade kits will be used to convert the existing
APS-138 radars in the Customs Service P-3 AEW #1-4 aircraft to the
APS-145 configuration. The updated APS-145 radars will be fully
integrated with the existing TRAC-A rotodome antenna system, TPX-54 IFF
interrogator and an updated VME-based computer processing, tracking and
display system, as previously accomplished on the P-3 AEW #5 and #6
aircraft. This contract action is subject to the avialability of funds.
