synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The
solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are
those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. It is
anticipated the resulting order will be awarded on a sole source basis
to Learjet Inc/Bombardier Aerospace of Denver, Colorado. The proposed
contract action is for supplies and services for which the government
intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the
authority of FAR 6.302. The requirement is to install Collins TCAS94
(VSI display) interfaced to the provided APX-100V IFF / mode S
transponder for the DHC-7 aircraft -- to include the STC data for
ST00211-DE-D included in each kit (proprietaryto Bombardier).
Performance will be in Korea and/or Maryland. The following FAR
