The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to contract with Carter Machinery for a Trailer Mounted and Enclosed Engine/Generator set. The unit will consist of Caterpillar Model 3508TA rated at 425 EW EKW at 1200 rpm prime electiral service, engine alarm system fully tested and certified, two bearing close-coupled Cat/Kato special starting generator, fuel tank with 16 hour run time, control panel, DC Rectifier, 120/240VAC distribution system and enclosed on a tandem axle trailer. This procurement is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures utilizing the Commercial Test Program (FAR Paart 13.5). Delivery will be FOB destination on or before 01 SEP 00.
