D -- INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES, INCLUDING TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES DUE 030900 POC mozell payton 213-741-5350 purpose: to implement a software upgrade of the existing definity G3i pbx, expand the system capability (using existing hardware & upgraded software) to an additional building. This sow requires written and detailed cost estimates. Background: The LAJCC telephone/pbx service currently consists of two AT&T definity G3i switches/pbx installed (circa) fall 1995, 250 users, voice mail package, on the definity G3i, is the definity audix voice mail package (ver 3.x) along with the definity G3i switch software. Each pbx site is a standalone location. Site #1 is located at 1106 S. Broadway and supports approximately 80 users, site two located at 1031 Hill St supports 170 users. Objective: To continue with existing hardware with internal circuit boards upgrades/enhancements, add use/call accounting tracking software for monitoring call usage and to assign telephone services cost to each department, to permit the system administrator, through a software package addition, the ability to perform administrative changes remotely on the entire system, and to integrate and combine existing hardware, through software, where the system administrator is more productive as the administrator. 1. Upgrade both definity generic software to latest release. 2. Upgrade call accounting system to windows to bring to year 2000 compliance. 3. Upgrade definity audix to the latest intuity audix. 4. Upgrade definity audix to 3.2 to bring to compliance. Overview: Vendors is requested to provide a premises wiring quote for L. A. Job Corps at 1031 Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA. Response consists of procuring and installing material to perform work as requested. The space to be cabled using this proposal consists of two (2) telecommunications closets, one in the hallway of the 2nd floor and one in the basement for voice and data. Harizontal cable shall consist of plenum category 5 for data applications and plenum category 3 for voice applications. Cabling system to carry a fifteen (15) year warranty and assurance certification. Vendors will provide one (1) 100 pair, plenum outiside plant cable for voice backbone from existing backboard in 1031 Hill Street, 2nd floor telecommunications closet.
