J -- MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND REBUILDING OF EQUIPMENT SOL RFQ 600-039-00 DUE 032400 POC Jeanette Morris, (562) 961-8055 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Business Center hereby gives notice of its intent to issue a sole source contract under the simplified acquisition procedures to ADAC Laboratories to provide maintenance on the Government owned ADAC Gamma Cameras and Scintillation Cameras located at three VISN 22 facilities: (1) West Los Angeles Healthcare Center, 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073, (2) VA San Diego Healthcare System, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161 and (3) VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, 1700 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89106. These cameras are operated through computer workstations for diagnosis of nuclear medicine patients. They are positioned, driven and controlled by UNIX workstations running proprietary software and require parts available only to the manufacturer, the calibration and tuning of these units is critical and demands only the trained technicians by ADAC Labs. Software that is used to run diagnostic and calibration work is propriety and is available only to the manufacturer. There is no solicitation document; prospective contractors should submit cost and technical data to be evaluated; interested firms must indicate their ability to satisfy the requirement within 14 days of this notice. Interested firms will be considered only if they respond with clear and convincing documentation that they are capable of meeting or exceeding the requirement stated herein at a cost sufficiently more advantageous than the contractor named.
