The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with The Catalyst Group, Spring House, Pennsylvania, for full membership in the Year 2000 Catalytic Advances Program. This is a one year membership in an organization comprised of several catalyst companies, which provides resources designed to benefit research and development professionals serving in the allied chemical industries. This membership entitles the subscriber to any four (4) peer-reviewed technical studies by outside technical experts and three (3) representatives to be present free of charge at an annual seminar, plus supplemental services which include additional report purchases, sending extra person (s) to the annual seminar, Internet/fax bulletins, etc. F.O.B., Destination, Gaithersburg, Maryland. The period of performance is one year. This is a sole source with the Catalyst Group because the Catalytic Advances Program (CAP) is the only established source for producing peer-reviewed multi-client reports targeted to providing timely industrial technical advice to impact technical project and program planning decisions in catalysis and biocatalysis. Over 20 U.S. and multinational companies are current members ensuring a broad view of catalysis issues representative of the chemical industry.
