SPECIAL OPERATION CRAFT -- RIVERINE (SOC-R) DRAFT DOCUMENTS FOR REVIEW The United States Special Operations Command is planning to issue a draft Statement of Objective (SOO), a draft Specification, and a draft Section B for industry to review for the acquisition of a Special Operations Craft Riverine (SOC-R). The objective of SOC-R is to produce and field a small, fast, armed and armored combatant craft system. The mission of the SOC-R craft is to perform Short Range Insertion (SRI). The government is considering awarding a firm fixed price, cost plus fixed fee, time and material indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery type contract for a basic performance period and 14 option years. This requirement is being considered for a small business participation. Final determination will be made after receipt of responses. Specific information will be contained in the draft SOO, draft Specification and draft Section B. The draft SOO, draft Specification and draft Section B should be available around 13 March 00. It is expected that a complete draft request for proposal (RFP) withthe remaining sections shall be issued for industry comment around 1 Apr 00. Combined draft SOO, draft Specification, draft Section B and draft RFP comments are desired. The time for response to this request and the draft RFP will be set forth in the draft RFP CBD announcement.
