SYNOPSIS@PHIL.FISC.NAVY.MIL. FISC det. Phila intends to acquire IAW FAR
part 12, as a commercial items acquisition, on a small business set
aside basis using simplied acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR
part 13 for the removal of sewage (CHT), and oily waste removal in
support of up to three mine warfare ships during their participation in
the 2000 Great Lakes Cruise Program. The successful contractor (s) must
have the facilities to remove anywhere from 300 to 800 gallons of CHT
per ship within one hour of the ship (s) arrival. It is noted that at
least one of these Navy ships with a 300 gallon CHT capacity will have
the ability to cook/burn their CHT while underway. Oily waste removal
will also be required. The ships oily waste capacity is approximately
125 gallons per ship and is expected to be offloaded up to six times
per ship. CHT removal should be removed within 1 hour of ship (s)
arrival. It is estimated that CHT removal services will be required
every 4 to 8 hours while docked and may be required while in transit.
CHT and oily waste removal services may be required at different
locations on the same day. In those cases where all the ships are at
one location, the CHT and or oily waste removal will be considered as
one offload. A tentative visitation schedule for the 2000 GLC is as
