Boyer, Contracting Officer: (703) 602-8208, X460 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a requirement for the integration into LSD 41/49 ships of an air-blown fiber optic LAN, a machinery control system, integrated bridge system, integrated condition assessment system,damage control system including ballast control, and a wireless internal communication system. A draft statement of work has been available on the NAVSEA Contracts website at www.contracts.hq.navsea.navy.mil under "Infodocs" since August, 1999. A draft Request for Proposals will be added to that site on or about 16 March 2000. An Industry Day briefing for potential offerors will be held 21 March 2000 from 0800 to 1600 at the Days Inn in Crystal City, 2000 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Arlington, VA (Phone: 703-920-8600).
