The system will be installed at Altus AFB, OK for an extended evaluation to determine if priority resource requirements for intrusion detection and resistance to nuisance and false alarms can be effectively met and operated satisfactorily by USAF Security Forces personnel. The DTS-1000 has been evaluated during a temporary set-up at Altus AFB, demonstrated at Force Protection Equipment Demonstration-99 and an earlier version tested by Sandia National Laboratories. The Security Forces staff at Air Education and Training Command have identified this system from Safeguards Technology Inc. for proving their operational concept for employment to meet protection requirements for parked aircraft.
