3/10/00 is changed to read: The Naval Research Laboratory has a
requirement for very narrow, 0.01 nm bandwidth filters for excluding
solar background when detecting certain visible and near-infrared
signals. Other technologies may be proposed, but it is anticipated that
the preferred approach will be to use Faraday rotation. The signals to
be detected, preferable in a single-aperture device, are at 766.4924
to 766.4954nm and either 588,9969 to 588.9992nm or 589.5943 to
589.5966nm. NRL anticipates awarding a CPFF contract. This requirement
is anticipated to be issued as a full and open competitive
solicitation under SIC code 3674 at the 500 employee business size
level. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be
considered. Synopsis SK04. Posted 03/10/00 (W-SN433163). (0070) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0264 20000314\70-0008.SOL)
